(JACKSON, Tenn.)  -  There are just six months till Christmas and Diamond Jaxx fans will receive an early gift when they bring gently-used items to Pringles Park to donate to Goodwill during the Christmas in July event from July 8-11.  Fans who bring a donation for Goodwill will receive free admission to a future Sunday through Wednesday game.  Goodwill will have an attended donation truck at the entrance to the Pringles Park concourse Wednesday, July 8 through Saturday, July 11 to make it easy for fans who bring their donations to the games.  The Diamond Jaxx will be hosting the Mobile BayBears during the four-day home stand.

Fans will also have an opportunity to learn more about the full range of services offered by Goodwill including Career Solutions, Goodwill stores and donations, when they stop by a table to be located within Pringles Park.  Goodwill has five stores, seven donation sites and two Career Solutions offices in West Tennessee.  Career Solutions counselors provide free services to help clients with job searches, resume building, interview skills and other training.  Offices are located in the north Jackson store at 53 Carriage House Drive and in Union City at 1430 South First Street.    It is thanks to the generosity of our donors, and the shoppers who frequent Goodwill's retail stores, that Goodwill is able to fund free career counseling and job placement services.

Several other nonprofit organizations will take part in the Christmas in July event including the Madison County CASA.  Fans who bring toys for CASA will receive a voucher for a future game and those who stop by any LifeLine location to give blood will also receive a voucher.

The Diamond Jaxx have an exciting lineup of entertainment and activities during the Christmas in July event.  Thursday, July 9 is Dollar Night, which includes general admission tickets, drinks, hotdogs and popcorn, each for $1.  Friday is Ladies Night and all ladies, no matter what their age, will be admitted to the game for free.  In addition, the first 1,000 fans to the game will receive a Christmas ornament from Robert Jewelers.  There will also be a post-game concert with music provided by Derek Scholl.  And on Saturday, July 11, fans who stay till the end of the game will enjoy a fireworks display sponsored by Pilot Travel Center and a concert by Emma Jacob.
