Can I Schedule Pickup?

Goodwill only provides a pick up service under special circumstances.  Those circumstances include when a family or loved one downsizes, after an estate sale or other situations that will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.  Donating to Goodwill is convenient and easy.  We have more than 60 donation sites throughout the middle and west Tennessee communities we serve.

Based on IRS guidelines, donors are responsible for assessing the value of the items they give to Goodwill.  Please review the suggested value list to assign a value to each item you donate.  Please consult your tax professional if you have any further questions about your donation to Goodwill.

Thank you for all you give!  Your donations allow Goodwill to provide jobs and job training for people who have disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Goodwill picks up donations only under special circumstances.  Those circumstances include the donation of items after an estate sale, if you, or someone you know, is downsizing their home, or from businesses with office furniture and supplies that are no longer needed.  If you are interested in learning more about Goodwill's pickup policy, please email or contact our special projects manager at 615-742-4151.  You may also complete an estate donation form online to begin the process.

Don't want the hassle of trading or selling your vehicle? Would you rather take the tax write-off?  Then consider giving your vehicle to Goodwill!  Donating your vehicle to Goodwill is a simple process and you can start that process by filling out the vehicle donation form. For more information, please call or email our special projects manager at 615-742-4151.

We accept cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles and campers that are in good, drivable condition.

Goodwill cannot accept any items deemed unsafe by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).  We have a three-tier assessment system to ensure items recalled by the CPSC are not sold in our stores.

  1. We ask donors to refrain from donating recalled items.  Please check the CPSC website for a list of recalled items and toys before donating.
  2. Donation attendants will not accept any toy or item they know has been recalled.
  3. All donations are sorted before being placed in our retail stores.  Should recalled items be identified in this last step, the item is sent to our salvage department and destroyed.
